Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine 187 articles in the Web of Science (WoS) database between 1996 and 2025 in the field of organizational change cynicism using the bibliometric analysis method. In the study, articles containing the keywords “change cynicism”, “cynicism about change”, “organizational change cynicism” obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database were examined. Biblioshiny, the web interface of Bibliometrix, an open source software based on R, was used for bibliometric analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that academic interest in inquiry-based learning has increased significantly especially since 2017. While the authors with the most publications are Aslam Usman and Imran Muhammad Kashif, the journal with the most publications is the Journal of Organizational Change Management. The most referenced article among the studies in the field of organizational change cynicism is the article published by John P. Wanous in 2000. When evaluated on a country basis, the USA stands out as the country with the most articles published, followed by Canada and the United Kingdom. It was seen that concepts such as “organizational change”, “cynicism”, and “antecedents” were frequently used in the word analysis. The findings reveal the academic orientation and research trends in the field of organizational change cynicism and provide a roadmap for researchers who want to work in this field.
