Abstract
The unplanned development of tourism has started to harm natural resources. Meetings are organized by the United Nations and many other organizations to prevent or reduce the damage to nature. As a result of these meetings, the concepts of sustainability and sustainable development started to be mentioned frequently. Sustainable development approach is development that meets the needs of today without killing future generations' ability to meet their own needs. Many sectors such as tourism have made efforts to change their principles according to the principles of sustainable development. As a result of these change efforts, the concept of sustainable tourism has emerged. Sustainability of the natural and cultural resources for more income in Turkey was ignored. The aim of this study was to examine Turkey's sustainable tourism and as a result, to propose some policies to improve Turkey's sustainable tourism.
