Abstract

It is evident today that children are not objects—like a car, a house, or a plant. On the contrary, they are emotional beings capable of independent thought and action. Although their thought processes and associated actions differ from those of adults, this does not diminish their value or importance. If we acknowledge children as emotionally and socially active individuals, we must also recognize their specific needs for well-being and peace, as well as the rights associated with them.
